Being part of CCC allows me to combine my passion for working with children and my faith, creating a meaningful and enriching environment for the young ones! I graduated from HCC with an Early Childhood Education degree then continued my studies and graduated from Towson University. I’m happily married with two lovely children. My family and I share a deep love for Disney World and often choose it as our vacation destination. When we are not exploring the magical world of Disney, you can find us actively engaged in various sports and activities. Whether it’s spending time at the ice rink, attending swim meets, cheering on my daughter’s field hockey games or enjoying a game of softball, we relish every moment of these athletic pursuits together. Our family’s passion for both Disney and sports brings us closer and creates lasting memories. I’m excited about the opportunity to witness the growth of your children as they navigate the years ahead. I am here to support you and your family every step of the way, as we celebrate their milestones and accomplishments together at CCC.
Hi, my name is Michelle May! I am the Assistant Director at Children’s Christian Center. I have been working here since the doors opened in 2001. When I am not working in the office I am enjoying my time in the classroom with the kids. I love working with the kids and watching them grow each year! When I am not at CCC I am home with my wonderful husband of 9 years and our 2 children. Family is very important to me. I can’t wait for you to be part of our CCC Family! Hello, my name is Lyndora Williams. I have been working at Children’s Christian Center for over 8 years now and I love working with children. I am married to my amazing husband of 11 years and I plan to start a family any day. I completed a French Immersion program from Kindergarten to the 12th Grade, Thanks to Shadyside Elementary and Central High school, now I am fluent in French. I am a graduate from Everest University, I have a clothing line and cosmetic line called Ekklesia Clothing and Ekklesia Cosmetics. I have a true passion for working with children! I am always surrounded with children because I have 5 nieces and 3 nephews who I adore tremendously. I am truly excited to meet your wonderful children and to see the growth they will accumulate.
Hi! My name is Mi Ah Kim. I have been working at Children’s Christian Center for two years. I have wonderful co-workers and staff members. We put our thoughts and energy together to help the children grow with love. I have also been working as a Children Ministry Director at my church for 6 years. I know God has amazing plans for each child according to His plans and what an honor it is to be a part of it.
Hello! My name is Kara Maxwell, and I have worked at CCC for 224 years now! I have primarily been in the Pre-K 4 and 5 year old class, which I love! I enjoy spending my days with my students, learning and growing together! I especially love trying out science experiments, and learning new songs together.
My name is Sandy Garden. I have been teaching preschool for over 30 years (22 of them right here at CCC!) I’ve been married for 40 years, a mom of 3 grown children and proud grandma of 6 grandchildren. I love music, hiking, serving at my church and most of all working with children. I can’t wait to learn and have fun together with your child.
Hello! I am Donna Browning and it is a privilege to be a teacher at the Children’s Christian Center. I am starting my 8th year as the Before and After School Teacher, Kindergarten thru fifth grade and Summer Camp Teacher grades three thru five. I retired from a 33 year career in finance with an Early Childhood Education background. I also taught first grade Sunday School for 26 years at St. Johns the Evangelist in Hyde’s. Since joining the caring staff at CCC, I have earned the State of MD Credentialing Status and I am licensed by the State of MD to teach children 3 years old – grade eight in a preschool/day care environment. I continue to enrich my education, to help my children grow in faith and life skills. Personally, I have two grown children- a girl and a boy. I love crafting, gardening, reading, the beach and yes all the children I have the privilege of knowing and teaching.
Hi! My name is Karen Bender. I have my 90 Preschool Certification as well as an Associate’s Degree and Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. I also served as the lead volunteer for 5 years at Anna’s House Children’s Center planning and implementing activities for birth through teenage children. Prior to my retirement as an OT, I provided therapy services to adults with physical disabilities to promote health and function. For the past 13 years I have been a CCC substitute that enjoys promoting the learning and development of the CCC children, especially using sensory and motor activities. It is always joyful to spend a day in the classroom and to watch the children “bloom”! In addition to my “CCC” kids, I have 2 adult children who live in Harford County. My husband and I have celebrated our 37th wedding anniversary.
Hi! My name is Beth Johnston. I have been a substitute for Children’s Christian Center for several years. My own kids are grown and married and I wanted to help fill my time. I was looking for something part time when I came upon CCC. The staff is lovely and provide a wonderful environment to work. They have created a special place for children to learn, have fun and thrive in.
